Online Sellers and Resellers

Visa or MasterCardSome of the best retail deals out there are available over the Internet. So are some of the sneakiest scams. For damn sure, "let the buyer beware." But, if the buyer has done his homework, he or she can save a bundle through buying over the wires. Many of the sites listed here specialize in computers, software, and related electronics. Be sure any online vendor uses Secure Socket Layer technology to keep credit card transactions safe (look to see if the checkout site's URL begins with "https://" instead of "http://"). Several price-comparison sites are included for the comparison shopper, but none of them are perfect; try several before making a decision. Don't forget to read the fine print, especially when it comes to shipping and handling charges and other additions that are easy to overlook.

Warning: A lot of online sellers have gone out of business. No doubt some of them are listed on this page. If you find a broken link, as always, let me know.
