Maintaining your computer is probably one of the least "romantic" parts of PC ownership. No one enjoys the little mundane tasks of running virus scans, backing up data, defragging disks, and all the various upkeep duties that keep a PC happy and healthy. This section doesn't promise to make those tasks that much more interesting, but it'll give you an idea of what to do and when, along with some ideas of how to deal with problems when -- not if, but when -- they arise.
